Overall, we had a good time at the zoo, but the wayfinding signs could definitely be better. There were a few spots where we kept second guessing which way to go, especially moving between exhibits. The maps helped a little, but they weren’t always super clear. It wasn’t a huge deal, just kind of frustrating when you’re already walking around with kids and starting to feel mentally drained.

The food actually tasted really good, but wow, the lines were kind of a saga. I felt like I was on a tiny quest just to get my order. Worth it in the end, but definitely be ready to wait a bit.

Went to the NC Zoo last weekend, and I was a little suspicious that parking was going to be a whole mess, but it ended up being super easy. There were plenty of spots when we got there, the entrance was easy to find, and we didn’t have to walk a mile just to get inside. Definitely made the day start off way better than I expected.

Customer service was really quick and super nice, like, I didn’t have to sit around waiting forever, which was great. Just a really smooth experience overall. Thanks!

I went to the NC Zoo last weekend and overall had a really good time. I was expecting everything to feel a bit more compact and for more exhibits to be open, so there was a bit of a gap between what I pictured and the actual visit. That said, the animal variety was great. The elephants, giraffes, bears, and birds were definitely highlights for me. Some areas are spread out, so be ready to do a lot of walking, but it was still a fun and worthwhile trip.

I’ll be honest, the menus were confusing to get through, which made the whole experience more frustrating than it needed to be. Also, it seemed like alt text was missing in some places, which isn’t great. I appreciate the effort, but these are things that really should be easier to navigate.

Went on a super busy weekend and yeah, it was definitely crowded, but the lines kept moving better than I expected. A few spots near the food areas got kind of packed — like, you’d turn a corner and suddenly be in a little crowd — but the staff seemed to stay on top of things for the most part. Overall, not bad at all for such a packed day

My gut says it’s a really good value as long as you know you’ll go at least twice. If you only use it once, maybe not so much, but after a second visit it starts to feel like a smart buy

The kids had a great time, and it was really handy that most of the paths were easy to use with the stroller. Simple, useful setup for a family outing

Security seemed mostly fine to me. I didn’t notice anything that made me feel uncomfortable, though it wasn’t the kind of place where I felt extra reassured either. From my experience, it felt safe enough for a regular visit.

We came in mostly just needing somewhere to take a break for a bit, and I wasn’t really expecting much beyond letting everyone stretch their legs. It ended up being a easy visit overall, and the kids found plenty to do in the play areas, so they stayed busy and happy for a while...

The zoo was, like, okay overall, but the ticket prices felt high for a family. Once you add in parking and then, you know, food and snacks, it gets expensive really fast. We had an alright time, but I’m not totally sure I’d go again.

I really like that they seem to care so much about the animals and the planet. It’s great to see a place putting real effort into conservation, not just the experience for visitors.

We visited the NC Zoo and I thought the animal habitats looked good, most of them felt roomy and more like natural spaces instead of just cages, especially the elephants and giraffes which were probably my favorite areas. A few animals were hard to see, but I kind of took that as a good sign because it means they actually have space to get away from the crowds if they want to. The signs were helpful without being way too much to read, which I appreciated. I’m giving it 4 stars because a couple spots felt a little plain and it is seriously a lot of walking between habitats, so wear comfortable shoes, but overall it was a really good visit.

I found some really good gifts here, i’m a bit picky when it comes to buying presents. The selection was nice and I did see a few things I really liked, but the prices felt a little higher than I expected. I’d probably still shop here again for something special, just not for every occasion.

The food wasn’t too pricey at all, which kind of shocked me for a zoo. I was expecting basic overpriced snacks, but it was actually way better than I thought it would be. Not a gourmet feast or anything, but for zoo food, it felt like a small miracle.

A few exhibits were closed when we went, which was a little disappointing, but that’s probably on me for not checking the site more closely before we headed out. The info was posted there, and it was still easy enough to plan around once we realized it. We ended up seeing plenty anyway and had a really nice visit overall. No big complaints from me.

Bought our NC Zoo tickets online, and it was really easy. I was expecting it to be a hassle, but, it was actually super simple. The site loaded fine, checkout took no time, and the tickets showed up in my email right away. We just scanned them at the gate and walked right in with no issues. Always nice when something just works the way it’s supposed to...

Overall, the zoo was mostly fine. I only saw a few areas, so maybe it wasn’t the whole place, but a couple of the bathrooms and eating spots I used could’ve been cleaner. The walkways seemed well kept from what I noticed, so it wasn’t a bad experience or anything. It just felt a little uneven for such a large zoo.

I used nczoo with my kids before we went to the zoo, I think it was sometime in early spring, or maybe late March? Either way, it ended up being really helpful. The animal pages had simple facts my kids could actually understand, without feeling like we were reading a textbook. We talked way more about habitats and conservation than I expected, which was a nice surprise. A few pages were a little tricky to find, but overall it made the trip feel more fun and educational.
